This button opens up the configuration screen:

This screen allows you to modify various system configuration options. While
most options are fairly self-explanatory, others are more complicated. If in
doubt about how to configure an option, please contact support first.
Configuration options are continuously being added to SoftTouch.
The fields shown are:
- # - The configuration option number
- NAME – A simplistic name of the option – used internally in SoftTouch. When
options are referred to in documentation or our forums, we always refer to the
configuration option number, not name.
- DESCRIPTION – A description of what the option is used for. More complicated
options may also list possible values that can be used (#817 and #918 are
examples of this). Many options are YES/NO and will ask a question in the
description.
- VALUE – The value (setting) for the configuration option. This field can
appear as a number, word, phone number, etc. depending on what the configuration
option calls for. You should not include any spaces or other special characters
such as quotes before or after a value unless a configuration option
specifically tells you to.
Note: A few special options such as #922 will add additional configuration
options (in this case, 923-930) if the setting is YES. This is done this way in
order to reduce the number of configuration options that appear in the list if
they are not needed. Once configuration options appear in the list, they cannot
be removed.
After changing an option value in the field to the right of “Expert Use
Only!!”, you must press the
button.
Note: You will need to restart SoftTouch for the new setting to take effect.
Not all options will necessarily show up in the table. If in doubt or you are
having trouble finding an option, check the “Show All” box and all options will
be displayed. Using the “Show All” box is also a way you can modify some system
statistics as they will appear in the list as well. Modifying statistics in this
manner is not recommended, however, as it is possible the data can be
overwritten by information in an online session.
The
button will open up the
“configuration Wizard screen”. The Wizard can be used to easily modify some of
the more common options.
More detailed information on configuration options may be
made available in the future as time permits.
