This button opens the channels screen:

The "Channels Screen" is used to configure and manage the
system’s hardware channels.
Note: As SoftTouch automatically adds channels based on the
hardware it detects, the need to manually add channels is rare. In most cases, the only
thing the "Channels Screen" will be used for is to set individual options per
channel.
Individual channel options are:
- Channel: the physical channel number (1-xxx)
- Card ID: the Dialogic hardware reference for the channel
(optional)
- Status: Inactive or Active. If a channel is a problem, it
can be deactivated. This is most likely to occur with analog hardware.
- Card Type: Inbound, Outbound or Inbound/Outbound. This
option is generally set to “Inbound”. “Outbound” and
“Inbound/Outbound” are used with analog systems.
- 800 Charge and DID Charge: Disabled or Enabled. Defaults to
“Disabled”. The 800 Charge is primarily used to restrict logons to
those callers with credit. These options may be removed in the future.
- Monitoring: set to “No monitoring” to not show
caller session details in the right pane of the “Monitor
Screen”.
Set to “Monitoring (complete)” to show the details.
- Logging: currently not used
- Callerid: Not available or Available. This setting is only
used with analog systems. Digital systems should set this option to “Not
available” and instead set configuration option #912 (USEANI) to YES. If
DNIS is available on digital systems (ISDN PRI), option #911 should be set to
YES as well.
- Notes: optional
The
and
buttons
on this screen are used to add and remove channels. In the case of the delete
button, only the currently highlighted channel is affected.
After changing any of the options for a channel, you must
press the
button.
